This year I am thankful for so many things. But here is my top 10! Enjoy and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
For his willingness to be weird with (or without) me at any given time, for his support of me following my dream, his understanding of my obsession with Harry Potter, his cuteness, smartness, and that he love me long time.
2. My Family
Fun, loving and always supportive. I like them very much.
I love dem.
As you may remember from this blog, I went through a pretty extensive period of being really unhealthy. I am sooo thankful for the fact that I am now healthy and able to work as many hours a day as I want without having to take breaks from being in pain or for long doctor visits where I would be misdiagnosed. Being healthy is fun!
I am thankful that I am my own boss. I am thankful that my business is doing the best it's ever done these last couple months. I am thankful for every commission, for every purchase, for every view on my blog that has made it possible for me to do what I love every. single. day.
6. Remember Me - Art for Memories Fundraiser
While I haven't reached my goal yet, $144.40 has been sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation already. I am so proud of this and thankful for every commission that made this possible! If you want to help out, you can donate here, or commission me or buy anything from my store where 10% of each sale goes directly to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Every dollar makes a difference!
I am thankful that I have now been in 20 art shows! My work has been seen in public and private collections along the East Coast. Here's to getting to the West by next Thanksgiving!
9. Good Books
I am thankful for good books that inspire new paintings!
10. Helpful Advice
I am very thankful for the advice that I have received from the online art course "The Artist Blueprint" taught by social media guru, Natasha Wescoat, as well as advice from other bloggers, especially Katelyn James Photography. Katelyn's advice to consistently write a blog Monday-Friday as a way to boost business is the absolute best advice I've ever used. In the last two months since I've implemented this plan, I have received more custom painting requests, more sales from my Store, and overall more traffic to my site than at any other time. To give this statement more merit, understand that I started selling my art online seven years ago and this is by far the best my business has ever done. If you're any type of artist and you want to get traffic to your site, these girls know what they're talking about.
