Let me start off by saying that I did this room makeover in a weird order. Rather than say, moving the furniture before painting...I moved as I went along. Same goes for decorating. Once a wall was done, I started hanging things on it. Which is why the above photo is misleading, because for most of this makeover, the room looked like this:
I'm not into that whole "delayed satisfaction" thing. When it comes to making over a room, painting walls, etc. - I want to feel like I've made a difference immediately. Even if it makes the rest of the room look stupid for a week.
Makes you think I'm done, right?
Fortunately now, the painting part is over so the organization part is now under way! Also - one corner of the room is totally unpacked and looking cute!
Just one corner is done for now. The plan for the future is to get a larger TV & mount it to the wall, so that when I show customers how their custom paintings will look in their spaces - they'll get a much clearer idea. Also, Luna Bear and I will get to watch movies in style while I paint :) I also have a little sitting area on the other side of the room that I'll show once it's beautified a bit more!
This is her, being adorable post-squirrel chasing.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and please share any room makeovers you're planning to do! I'd love to follow along :)
P.S. Isn't this weird? (This is our family room now! Photos to come!)
