For once, today's furniture post is not about something I've painted!
If you've ever watched one of my Instagram stories where I show the absolute tornado landing place that is my studio, you know that I have a LOT of art. You also may notice that I lack proper storage, since the art is all over the everywhere. The thing is, storage cabinets and flat files are freaking EXPENSIVE you guys.
Thankfully, Pinterest exists and while searching for a solution, I found this IKEA image:
I learned that it cost $119 (details here) which is a fraction of the cost for most storage units. My sister and I planned a trip to head to the Woodbridge IKEA and I bought one!
Now, I'm aware that IKEA doesn't always live up to what we dream of when we buy their boxes full of random screws and plywood - but this time it was different. I'll admit it took a long time for me to build this, but I'm seriously in love with how it turned out. It's beautiful AND it stores SO MUCH. The drawers are deep (about 18") so they can safely hold all the packaging for my mattes, backing and plastic sleeves that I use to prepare my prints for shows and stores.
One of the nicer things about this drawer unit is that it's finished in the back so it can really go anywhere in your studio/office space without looking dumb.
This is not a sponsored post - I'm just obsessed with it :)
