Have you ever wondered how pallets are made? Not the kind you slab your paint on, but the palettes that companies ship products on, and that you've probably seen all over Pinterest in the last couple years. Well I had a pretty cool experience a couple weeks back when I got to visit BC Wood Products and had a tour with the owner, Alex, who showed me the many warehouses and workers who help put these together.
I took this tour with my camera so that I could take photos of the processes that I thought would look best in an illustrated form, because Alex is looking to have his office decorated with some fresh new art to tie into his business. One of the things that was most interesting to me was the dust collection system. These beasts look like something straight out of Dr. Seuss.
We agreed that I would create an 8 x 10" drawing & frame it. Today I'm excited to share the finished product!
Some progress shots!
and here's how it turned out! I'll be sure to share a photo of it in it's frame soon, hanging at the BC Wood Products office!
