Ben and I have been working our booties off to get our house unpacked and painted and beautified so we can start really enjoying it as soon as possible. So I apologize for showing so many home photos, I'll go back to art posts once my studio is unpacked!
I have to say though- I have seriously LOVED this process! We've both wanted this moment for so long, it feels great to be at this point where we can call ourselves homeowners AND have paint on the walls!
So, today my goal was to fix up our bedroom. Sunday I painted 3 of the walls a pale peach, leaving the 4th wall blank since I knew I would be making a mural there.
I drew out the general forms I wanted to paint. I wanted the mural to look similar to my "Bubbles and Dirt" lithograph, because I felt it was soft and romantic!
Here's another progress shot:
Excuse the messy bedroom!
Bens mom gave me her old vanity- isn't it beautiful?! I love the way it looks in front of the finished mural!
I want to show you more photos but I have no storage left on my phone and my computer isn't hooked up yet. I know, I need to sort out my priorities. My computer is prawwwwwbably more important than a mural. But LOOK AT THE PRETTY!
Also a shoutout needs to be made to the cutest husband in all the land who doesn't mind sleeping in a peach bedroom. I am the luckiest human on the planet.
