Are you just a little bit nerdy? Do you like video games? Do you like Pokemon? Well if you answered yes to any of those questions, you're probably going to enjoy today's post :)
So a couple months ago Ben built a custom storage tray for his Nintendo 64 games out of scrap wood. He knew I would want to paint it, and our friend Riley suggested painting Pokemon on it - because, well... Pokemon Snap is the greatest game of all time.
Deciding which Pokemon to paint was a little tough. In the end we decided on Pikachu, Jiggly Puff, and Bulbasaur.
After I drew them, I painted them with acrylic & decided we needed something between each Pokemon - so I added a Pokeball and a Pokemon Fire Element. Next, I decided to paint the inside slots (where the games would be) bright red:
And the dividers and frame I painted black.
It's mildly (okay, very) embarrassing how proud I am of this. They're just so cute, and now we can always find Pokemon Snap, for when we need to play the most fun game in all the land.
I should also mention that Ben built the entertainment center with a shelf that perfectly fits this storage tray. To read more about his amazing entertainment center click HERE!
