In case you're wondering, bb&b stands for "A Bird, A Bee, & A Ball Jar" - the business name of talented RVA artist, Leah MacDaniel. Leah is a self trained artist (which is extra impressive when you see her work!) and specializes in illustration and personalized paper products.
We met back when I was helping to organize the Creative Marketplace RVA event that took place in the summer - and she was one of the featured artists who sold her work! After that we ran into each other at the Artisan Market event that my friend Amanda (from BRK ReDesign) put together.
Well about a month or so ago, Leah reached out to me to see if I would be interested in being interviewed for her blog and I was all "OF COURSE!" and she asked such great questions!! As you all know, I'm normally on the other side of the equation - standing in as the interviewer. I have to say that it was pretty cool to dive into the questions and step back to evaluate why I do the things that I do. So often, us entrepreneurs lose sight of the big picture - getting caught up in our day to day tasks. Having Leah ask me questions about what type of art that I enjoy making the most, along with asking me to delve a bit more into how my anxiety and depression drive my art, helped me put things into perspective. I'm really grateful for that. :)
Now, I am SO pleased to share with you that the interview is officially up and ready for your reading pleasure!!
