Fun Fact: I'm a sleepwalker & sleeptalker. I have very elaborate dreams and tend to wake up Ben yelling that there are either spiders coming out of the walls that we need to escape from, or that someone is drowning and we need to save them. Sometimes I walk around like it's the middle of the day and wake up downstairs. It's very annoying and results in rarely getting a good night's sleep along with very, very low expectations for dreaming.
Then the other night I fell asleep and dreamt I was surrounded by shallow water just up to my ankles. Everywhere I looked there was water unless I looked at the sky which was the most brilliant pink and orange I've ever seen and it was covered in enormous flying figures that I can only describe as being "spirits". In my dream I knew it meant the world was ending and it was terrifying but the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I remember one of the spirits looking at me.
When I woke up I was really scared until I realized it was a dream, then I immediately thought of how it needed to be a painting. I got to work sketching it and here's my very rough draft!
I can't explain how much I NEED to make this painting! Stay tuned!
I can't believe the response on yesterday's Failure blog! More hits than any other post in a while, I think that is equal parts hilarious and awesome. Thanks for reading :)
