This past weekend I madeover one of the most beautiful nightstands I've ever seen! Created in the 1960's, with gorgeous detail work - as soon as I saw it I began fantasized about painting it :)
I chose DecoArt's Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint in "Yesteryear". It took between 2-3 coats. I watered down the paint a bit so it would spread further, since I only had about 1/6th of a small jar left. It was just enough to cover it!
I did some light sanding to give it a shabby chic weathered look, then I coated it with Americana Decor "Creme Wax" (which has a matte finish).
Then I had fun doing a little photoshoot with it in front of my most recent painting:
I absolutely love how it turned out!!
Since I love it so much, I decided to trade my old nightstand for this one. It's so pretty I just couldn't sell it!
