Have you guys heard about Aura Frames? They're a company that creates sleek and simple frames that automatically update themselves with photos you take with your phone! Watch this super cool video to see what I'm talking about:
When I heard that Aura Frames was talking about their frames and taking better photos on your phone, I was really interested. I remembered many years back when it was a big hit with grandparents to give them frames that had a stream of images playing through them. I remember they had SD cards that you'd import your favorite photos into, and then insert into the frame. They would display the same photos forever, because they'd have to wait until we were back in town to remove the SD card, delete old photos, add in new ones...
Aura Frames is as simplified as it gets because they update automatically from your phone!! This is great news for those who have mastered the art of iphone photography, but many of us haven't quite figured out how to get the best shots - especially ones we feel are worthy of sharing with our families or on our own walls! So Shannon told me how Aura Frame came up with a solution - they created a very simple guide to help people take their best photos if they just followed a few simple rules:
RULE OF THIRDS
Not everything needs to be centered. Try out the grid function.
Texture is all around, use it! Keep light in front of the subjects.
LIGHT IT UP
Use diffused light to avoid harsh shadows. Set the exposure on the face.
Choose the eyes as the focal point in the viewfinder. Use the "force focus" option for macro photography.
