Every year the holidays sneak up on me. This year I'm trying my best to be prepared! I ordered my Richmond calendars well before the New Year and I've been building up my supply of shipping & gift wrapping materials so I don't have to run around like a total spaz any time I make a sale. But one of the best things that has been the most helpful to me is taking full advantage of each of these three websites:
I've had my website hosted through Weebly for a couple years now and besides a few minor complaints, I've been really happy with it. It's incredibly user friendly and the newsletters they send are always worth reading. Every week or so I get one from them full of advice for business owners. This week it was "6 Ways to Get More Sales This Holiday Season". You don't have to host your website with Weebly to read the article, just click here to read it. Another great article they sent was this - "2015 Holiday eCommerce Guide".
To make people want to buy your work, it has to look amazing. To make your product look amazing you need great graphics. Canva is my absolute favorite site to create graphics for every social media site from Pinterest & Instagram to Facebook Cover Photos. It is no exaggeration that I'm obsessed with this site. In fact, I used it to create a header for over 300 blogs to make them cohesive. You can edit fonts, colors, layouts, and as long as you use your own images, you don't have to pay a thing for this service! I spend a lot of time on this site, and you should too!
#3: The Rising Tide Society
The Rising Tide Society is a group I joined just a few months ago and I can't express how grateful I am that I did! Besides just having a (WONDERFUL) website, they have a Facebook group that you can post your business questions to, and receive advice from any of the 11,000+ members AND they have meet up groups known as "Tuesdays Together" where you meet with creative entrepreneurs from your city and learn from each other. The slogan for Rising Tide Society is "Community over Competition" and if you sign up for their newsletter you'll receive business tips and inspirational stories from creative entrepreneurs all over the world! Make a holiday sale plan and read all about marketing, branding & SEO! - HERE is where you need to be.
So there you have it, the best 3 sites to get your ready for the holiday season:
Weebly for a holiday sales guide,
Canva to make your products look their best,
and The Rising Tide Society for support from business owners going through the EXACT same thing as you.
I hope this helps you take on the insanity of these next six weeks!! I wish you many, many sales :)
*Reminder that 10% of all proceeds made through purchases on my site from now until November 30th - will go straight to the Alzheimer's Foundation in honor of National Alzheimer's Awareness Month for my annual fundraiser "Remember Me - Art for Memories".
