Hi friends! It feels so good to be back and blogging again!! I think this is the longest I've gone without publishing a post in close to three years. In case you missed my last post, here's a brief update - I am pregnant (yay!) and unfortunately have hyperemesis gravidarum (boo!!), which made it close to impossible to work for months. I made the occasional check in on here, and social media, but I couldn't do any fine art because my hand was shaking too much from being so dehydrated.
Luckily, my doctor, midwife, pharmacist and nurse have teamed up to create a cocktail of meds that have made is so that (knock on ALL of the wood surfaces!!!) I have not *TMI* vomited in one whole week! This is very exciting, and has allowed me to leave the house without ending up in the ER, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I can finally paint and draw again!
With this exciting news comes the announcement about my 2018 RVA Calendars!!! If you've followed my work for any length of time, you'll know that I've been doing these calendars for a while - this is actually my 5th year!! Thanks to Richmond Magazine featuring the calendars in their gift guide last year, I sold out!! This year, I'm offering the option to pre-order to guarantee you won't miss out!
If you've never seen my calendars before, here's all you need to know:
This year is extra exciting because I have SO MANY new illustrations!! Thanks to my show at the Gallery at UNOS this summer, I was motivated to create a bunch of new landmark illustrations, which will fill 2018's calendar! Here's a sneak peek:
